The older it grows the more beautiful it becomes. We are talking about the Peony flower which we have selected as the showcase of our bouquet. At the time of flowering, which is from April to June, the Peony attracts not only our eyes, but also butterflies and bumble bees. Not many know that the common Peony (Paeonia officinalis) has healing effects, too.  Arabic and Chinese doctors used it as a cure for diabetes and in folk medicine the Peony was used to treat digestive problems, asthma and epilepsy.  In addition to the Peony, there are flowers from Clematis and branches of Vitis too. This is a plant that has been found in gardens throughout Europe since the 19th century, even though it comes from eastern Asia. Clematis is a perennial plant that will last for decades.
Moreover, it is one of the flowers that our great-grandmothers used to have in their gardens. We adore plants such as these in our Ateliér Papaver studio, therefore, we have been focusing on floral works of art heavily inspired by nature since 2010. Our pieces look spontaneous, elegant and have a soul.  This also stems from the fact that we only use natural materials which highlight the subject’s native beauty. Starting with flowers from forests, meadows, vineyards and gardens, we play with the colours and structures to present a harmonious, pleasant and timeless impression.
With the idea of involving as many people as possible with nature through flowers and bouquets we also started a floral school. Here we teach clients how to arrange and combine flowers, when flowers blossom, bear fruit, and so on.  Though we cannot control how much time our clients spend in nature, we can bring nature to them. When working with flowers, our students are able to relax, get their hands dirty and breathe the smells of nature. After all, the quickest way to regain your strength is under the influence of the green colour.
