Easter is the most important Christian festival which as the only movable festival falls on March or April. Its celebrations in the church were mentioned already in the 2nd century. Just like the blood of the Lamb of God saved the old Israelites in ancient Egypt from ten plagues of God, the death of Jesus Christ saved all Christians from eternal damnation.
