Women's folk-costume from Detva In decoration of plain parts women's and men's folk-costume from Detva prevailed in the past needle work based on the breaking simple technique and flat stick with fibre or lace - both in the natural yellow shades. It was situated mostly in the places of sticks or it fastened margins. Here it roundly connects utility with decoration. At the end of 19th century arose to these techniques another one, later typical for this textile area, a redrawn needle work made by curved needle on the frame. The opinion that this technique was brought here by Turks is not backed up yet. The new needle work technique changed ornament, which stops to follow structure of the plain, it's colour is also changed, it puts on a large scale( for example red, blue, etc...) Orange and yellow hot shadows remains the base. The new ornamental conception gained a large-are geometrical form. It needles on the finer materials.
