The painter Mikuláš Klimčák, who has designed the present emission, was born in 1921 in Humenné, Eastern Slovakia. Klimčák studied at the department of drawing and painting at the Slovak Institute of Technology in Bratislava and at the Institute of Applied Art in Prague. His work embraces monumental and decorative projects (including windows for both sacred and secular architecture, and tapestries), graphics, oil painting and icon painting on wood, and, occasionally, sculpture.
