Franciscan Church of Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in Bratislava represents an important sight not only on the Slovak territory but also within broader extention of Central European countries. The church was consecrated on the festival of Annunciation of the Virgin Mary on March 25, 1297 by participation of King Andrew III, archbishop of Esztergom-Lodomer, ordainer bishop Jakob and other personalities of church and social life as well as large number of believers.
