Rajecká Lesná (known as Frewald before 1948)—the village located 5 km southeast of Rajec in the valley of Mala Fatra Mountains—is a place, where the Slovak Nativity Scene, a large group of plastic arts, masterpiece of Jozef Pekara, carver from Rajecké Teplice, is situated. Next to the parish church of Mary's birth in the centre of this well known pilgrimage place a House of Nativity was built.
