The history of the modern National Cancer Institute (NCI) on Klenová Street in Bratislava began 25 years ago. Although the roots of medical care for cancer patients in Slovakia go further back and were connected with other places, in 2015, a quarter of a century has passed since the premises of the former State Institute of National Health were handed over to treat oncology. Currently, the National Cancer Institute is the largest specialised hospital for the treatment of cancers which provides complex oncology care for the patient.
