The United Nations (UN) was established on October 24, 1945, following the Second World War, with the aim of ensuring international peace and security, fostering friendly relations among states, and promoting social progress and human rights. It was created in response to the tragic consequences of global conflicts, to prevent the recurrence of such catastrophes, and to provide a platform for dialogue and cooperation among countries.
