The Bratislava City Museum is a historical institution in the capital of the Slovak Republic. It was founded by the Okrášľovací spolok (Bratislava Beautification Association) in 1868 thanks to the interest of townspeople and local patriots in the history of the city. After the formation of the Czechoslovak Republic, it fell under the control of municipal authorities and began cooperation with a local library and archive as part of the city’s Scientific Institutes.
