The Cleveland Agreement The Cleveland Agreement was the first document on a joint approach of American Slovaks and Czechs in the struggle to attain the independence of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in a common state within which Slovakia would have autonomy. The agreement was approved at the conference of the Slovak League of America and the Czech National Association on the days 22nd and 23rd October, 1915 in Cleveland.
